NEW DOCUMENTARY TO EXPLORE JUST WHO KILLED (OR SAVED!) THE MUSIC INDUSTRY
Who Killed (or Saved!) the Music Industry? That’s the big question that industry insiders, fans and musicians have debated endlessly over the last several years. It’s also the title of a new documentary from musicians Adam Russell (Story of the Year, D.R.U.G.S.) and Ryan Phillips (Story of the Year, Greek Fire) who recently started a Kickstarter campaign to fund the creation of the film, which will explore the evolution of the music business over the last decade with interviews from musicians, producers, managers, record labels and more.

Better quality audio
As The Stabcast moves into its 4th year, we have decided to make better quality audio available for streaming and download. Previously the audio quality was set to 24k, we have increased the quality 3 times to 64k.
When the show started we wanted to keep the file sizes low, so chose the lower quality. 4 years later people know have faster internet connections and larger hard drives and media devices. Files sizes will increase from around 20 MB to 50 MB.
Year 5 Studio Upgrade – New desk
For those following the studio upgrades here is another picture. While we don’t have the actual desk yet, here is a CAD drawing of what it will look like. As far as upgrades go, we are waiting on delivery and install, so there won’t be a lot of posts until that happens.

Today’s update brings you 2 pictures. First, the host area completely cleared out so it can fit new furniture. Also, the second shot is of the live band area which is temporarily holding all the broadcast equipment.

Since there’s a big difference as to what you see on camera and what is actually in the room we thought each day we would provide a picture update and let you know what has happened. We start with day 0…This is currently what the host portion of the studio looks like. Notice the many differences from what you see on the video each week.
