Bowling For Soup: Fishin’ For Woos
The Back Story
Bowling For Soup recently released the album “Fishin’ For Woos” shortly after the release of “Sorry For Partyin” and very soon after their label, Jive, parted ways with them (and therefore didn’t promote that album correctly). From my understanding Jaret locked himself in a room and knocked out this album about a month after the separation. Being a Bowling For Soup fan for a while now I decided to sit down and take a listen to how this independent release would sound.

Thursdays of Steel: The End of an Era
There a lot of emotions racing through me right now. Ten months ago I started what was my first official blog, Thursday’s of Steel. I’ve been lax with the posts as of late, and this is not the end of it (as it will find revival over at Happy Hour on hhwst.net on 11/24/2011 {oh heyyyyy…. That’s Thanksgiving!}); just a new chapter. Thursdays of Steel will continue to be a weekly feature for Happy Hour and a Stabcast only version will be posted monthly.
Rushmore release EP online
As many people may remember Rushmore braved a hurricane and came by our studio to play a few songs for us. If you missed that show be sure to check out either the audio or video of it. While talking on the show the band made mention that Steel Tip received a physical copy of their latest EP and he was enjoying it. Well, now everyone can hear it no matter where you you. Rushmore not only made the album available for download, but you can also have the physical copy shipped anywhere in the world as well. You can either search for them on your favorite mp3 site, or head to their website where they have links to them all. Either way you should check these guys out if you like high energy, catchy pop-punk.
