Lordi – To Beast or Not to Beast album review

lordiGWAR’s Oderus Urungus once called Finland’s Lordi “a kiddie version of GWAR” and there is some truth to that.  While the two bands’ giant alien-mutant costumes bear striking similarities to each other, GWAR’s approach to music and performance art has always been more “adult” (as anyone who’s ever been covered in at a GWAR show can attest) than Lordi’s.

Resident Evil: Retribution film review

And while the Resident Evil series continuity is a weird mess, there’s still enough references and call-backs built in that a newcomer to the film would likely be lost. But we’re going to try to ignore all that, and come at the film as if it were the first in a series. So, here goes: this is a terrible film.
