GET INVOLVED! PREMIERE DEMO “SCARS MAKE THE MAN”
With only days left in their Kickstarter campaign, newly formed rock fivesome Get Involved!, which features members from influential bands Thursday, From Autumn To Ashes, Glassjaw and Judge, has released a demo called “Scars Make The Man” today in effort to raise the final 1/3 of their Kickstarter goal to help fund their debut EP that will be recorded later this month with Ross Robinson (At the Drive In, The Cure).

It was recently announced that members from beloved bands Thursday, From Autumn To Ashes, Glassjaw and Judge, have come together to form a new band called Get Involved! with plans to record their debut EP with famed producer Ross Robinson (At The Drive In, Glassjaw, The Cure) in the coming months with the support of fans via Kickstarter. Today, Get Involved! is offering supporters a glance inside the rehearsal space with a live work in progress track called “Serenity Now.”Thursdays of Steel: The End of an Era
There a lot of emotions racing through me right now. Ten months ago I started what was my first official blog, Thursday’s of Steel. I’ve been lax with the posts as of late, and this is not the end of it (as it will find revival over at Happy Hour on hhwst.net on 11/24/2011 {oh heyyyyy…. That’s Thanksgiving!}); just a new chapter. Thursdays of Steel will continue to be a weekly feature for Happy Hour and a Stabcast only version will be posted monthly.

There will be some slight changes to the stabcast.com schedule. The new schedule is as follows:
Saturday 1:00 PM EST – The Stabcast is broadcast live
Sunday midnight EST – Audio recording of The Stabcast is made available
Monday midnight EST – Video recording of The Stabcast is made available
Tuesday midnight EST – Classic clip from a previous The Stabcast is made available
Wednesday midnight EST – Band of the week is featured
Thursday midnight EST – Thursday’s of Steel posted
Friday midnight EST – Santoro’s unname blog is posted
Adalie is this week’s featured band
Hailing from the streets of Philadelphia, PA, the four young guys in Adalie have accomplished a lot since starting the band in 2007. Since being founded by Derrek Siemieniuk (vocals/guitar), John Young (bass), and drummer, Matt Siemieniuk, the band has evolved their sound significantly. The progress became more evident when they inquired local friend and musician, Dan Kirk to join and share vocal and guitar duties to balance out their lineup. In 2009, following John’s departure, Dan’s brother D.J. stepped in to take his place as Adalie’s permanent bass player.
Life Is Short, Make Something Of It
It’s a new year and a new format for Stabcast.com. I can’t give you the Steel Tip guarantee that you’ve come to grow and love for the daily line up The Stabcast has ready to offer, but I can promise that blogs from Steel Tip on Thursday’s will be thing you can come and enjoy on a weekly basis; no questions asked. I’ll be like the post office, through rain, snow, sleet, hail, you name it, and I’ll post through it. Even the holidays. I will not promise that they’ll all be funny, even when their meant to be.
