grammarlp2.2.114748.131918Fresh off the success of last year’s Social Studies LP—which earned the approval of everyone from NPR to The New York Times to The Guardian, who compared the breakout release to early Madonna, the indie disco of Prelude Records and “CSS doing an impression of Dr. Buzzard’s Original Savannah Band”— Body Language is ready to release their sophomore album, “The Grammar LP”. Like Social Studies, this sophomore release embodies the band’s restless pop experiments with a future-shocked blend of soul and R&B.

Following stunning performances at SXSW, including a memorable set at Alternative Press’ “100 Bands You Need To Know” Party and a passionate acoustic session for Yahoo! Music, and the release of several new tracks from Say What You Mean, including “Making It Up,” “Nothing Left,” “Wait For Me” and “One Way Love,” Weiss’ trajectory to indie rock notoriety has skyrocketed.
PromoImageFans and media are salivating over the impassioned singer’s sophomore record’s heartfelt lyrics and brilliant songwriting saying it’s a “strong and impressively tart new album” (New York Times) and that she “somehow makes honesty seem downright fun without diluting the message” (Glamour.com).

Left Coast Envy

Hello everyone!  Santoro here providing you with that is going to be listed under local music news (for lack of a better category).  I’m going to take a minute to talk about a band that I recently got to see play a show.  Now, this isn’t so much of a review of their show, since I didn’t go to the show with that mindset.  This is just a full out endorsement of a band that played music I enjoyed, put on a good stage show and just looked like really nice people.  Anyway, that was a long intro and maybe I should mention the band name…wait, it’s in the title of the post so hopefully you have figured it out by now.
