The Dark Knight Rises film review
Consequences.
If any word can sum up the themes of The Dark Knight Rises, it’s consequences. Whereas the themes of the preceding two films in Christopher Nolan’s “Dark Knight Saga”, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, could be stated, respectively, as “Fear” and “Escalation”, the third film embodies the idea of reaping what one sows. The villains of the film, also as in the previous entires, encapsulate the theme, both in motivation and in their plan. But the idea expands beyond just the villains, encompassing the entirety of the plot, and bringing in almost every other major character n the film under its wing. And it’s this motivation, this tying together of theme, that keeps Nolan’s films from being just “superhero movies” and pushes them into capital F “Films.”

Thursdays of Steel: How is Lindsay Lohan still alive
Since I’ve started doing radio about four years ago, I’ve had Lindsay Lohan in my death pool every year. To be fair, in 2007, she had just gone off the deep end and everyone was taking guesses at when she would be dead, but she hasn’t gotten much better. I’m not much older than Lindsay, but I do remember 14 years ago when I first saw her in the remake of The Parent Trap.
Reviews of movies that I have not seen
This week I have decided to review and talk about some movies that have just been released. However, I’ll be honest…I’ve been very busy and have very little time to watch movies, so I may not have seen all of these…or even any of these movies…but you know what they say: You can judge a book by it’s cover. In this case I will be reviewing movies by their posters. I’m sure I will come pretty close to what the movie is about as I am always correct.
