The Wonder Years – Sleeping on Trash: A Collection of Songs Recorded 2005-2010 album review

wonderyearsLansdale, Pa.’s own The Wonder Years have become one of the biggest bands in pop punk and with good reason. Frontman Dan “Soupy” Campbell’s hyper-specific but instantly relatable lyrics are several levels above anyone else’s in the genre. Musically, the band weaves a deceptively complex web of ’90s emo, New Found Glory-style pop punk and blast-beat hardcore with flawless dynamics.

Nobody Yet posts a new demo clip

Friends of the show, Nobody Yet, have posted a demo clip of a new song.  Listen to the clip below.  We haven’t heard much from these guys lately, but this clip gives us something to look forward to.

WFT: Too Soon To Say

Too Soon To Say is a handsome young band from Grand Rapids, Michigan who strive to create music that is genuine and inspiring. The band combines melodic guitars with hard hitting rhythms with emotional harmony filled vocals from it’s three vocalists. Formed in May of 2010, the band has been hard at work writing music and playing shows. In April, they released their first full length entitled, “You’ve Got Some Explaining To Do”. As of August, 2011 Too Soon To Say has released a digital demo sampler in anticipation for its 2nd album to be released this winter.

This week’s featured band is Seek To Thrill

When the guys from SEEK TO THRILL aren’t supporting their favorite fellow local bands and asking what size your shoes are, they are busy playing their own shows and writing some of the catchiest pop punk that will have you asking ‘Why are these guys still local?’ With that being said, it should be noted that the eldest member of SEEK TO THRILL is just the ripe age of 21.
