Old Man Markley – Down Side Up album review
Sounding like if Flogging Molly had come from Kentucky instead of Ireland, Old Man Markley’s newest album, Down Side Up, is a fast-paced and fun romp through the world of punk bluegrass. Tight rhythms, sweet harmonies, and a modern sense of lyrical fun are all the hallmarks of a band in control of its destiny, and one which is on the rise on the charts.

Lansdale, Pa.’s own The Wonder Years have become one of the biggest bands in pop punk and with good reason. Frontman Dan “Soupy” Campbell’s hyper-specific but instantly relatable lyrics are several levels above anyone else’s in the genre.
