As many know by now The Stabcast encourages audience participation. While watching the live show the hosts often build off of what is being said in the chat room. Listeners can also call in live, leave voice mail after the show or email us whatever they want (stabback@stabcast.com). With all of that being said we get some good things from time to time. Here’s the perfect example. We received a voice mail with a little acappella song about The Stabcast enjoying penis. Into It. Over It. Review
At the end of his performance in Philadelphia this past year, Evan Weiss, the man behind Into It. Over It. declared “I’ll be back in October, but it’ll be a lot louder.” In the late summer, it was announced that Weiss would be touring full band with the help of his bandmates from Stay Ahead of the Weather. Anyone who has seen Weiss play as a solo artist knows that he has an outstanding ability to perform his material—which he records full band—by just playing the guitar and singing. He has earned the respect of bands and music fans alike, and last night was a clear demonstration of that. In his first full band tour with this project, Weiss brought along his friends in Hostage Calm, Philadelphia locals Restorations, and the rising band Make Do and Mend.
Hold Music Prank Call (Shannon)
This is one of my favorite calls that we have done on the show. I called someone and pretended to be a delivery service attempting to deliver a package to their house. The real goal of the call was to put them on hold so that we could play some hold music, that you wouldn’t expect to hear. After hearing the inappropriate hold music the person gets mad and I found even more reasons to put them on hold. The assist from Steel Tip makes the call even better. This is an instant classic…
