I have said in the past that I’m not much for giving reviews, but I did get to see an advance screening of American Reunion last night and feel that I can give my honest review in one sentence:  If you actually saw American Pie in the theater when it came out, you’ll like American Reunion.  It’s that simple.  the movie takes place 13 years after the first movie and focuses on what has happened to all of the characters since.  I’m glad they went this route rather than trying to pickup while they are still in college, or grad school…it’s really these guys getting back together after 13 years and realizing they have different lives now.  All notable characters from the first movie are back including Nadia, The Sherminator and even both MILF guys.  Most of the characters are jammed into the last 30 minutes of the movie, which has 90′s music playing in the back the entire time so new comers to this teen comedy franchise will not understand all of the references…they are better off just picking up one of the many straight to dvd releases where they don’t need to think as much.  I’m not saying this is a movie that you have to think about (although I did leave thinking about what the actual plot was) but I’m just saying there are many references from the first movie that are placed in this movie.  So again, if you saw the first, see this, otherwise don’t spend the money because you won’t get the full effect.

Now, with that out of the way I have to say I did notice some similarities between the 4 wide released American Pie movies.  They all have certain staples in them and I thought I would pick some out and rank them to see which movie is the best.
