I did the same thing today that I do on most Thursdays. I sat around for most of the day trolling the internet trying to figure out something to write about. This week, i all could find was a bunch of celebrity news and March Madness information. That got me thinking…I could do something that combines both of them and will take care of several weeks of my blog entries.
i have come up with my very own Celebrity Brackets. I simply divided celebrities into 4 groups (TV, movies, music and other) and then took the time to gather a lot of Google, Yahoo and Bing data to seed them. As you’ll see from the seeds some are very favorable match-ups and others seem to be correct. Needless to say this should be entertaining and provide a lot of user feedback. Each day of a match-up I will check trends on Google, Yahoo and Bing and use my own formula to determine a winner. We will talk about those results by way of the blog, and The Stabcast. Here’s a list of the “games:”
03/11/11 – Top 64 seeds announced here.
03/12/11 – First round winners announced live on The Stabcast.
03/18/11 – Second round winners announced in my blog.
03/19/11 – Round 3 winners announced live on The Stabcast.
03/25/11 – Round 4 winners announced in my blog.
03/26/11 – Round 5 winners announced live on The Stabcast
04/01/11 – Champion announced in my blog.
04/02/11 – Post game coverage live on The Stabcast.
Here is a copy of the bracket that you can print out and play along with. Also, you are encouraged to let us know your thoughts by commenting here or on The Stabcast (live on this site Saturday’s at 1:00 PM EST).
I know, what your thinking by now…this was a pretty boring blog…just wait. Just wait until some of these matches are played out…I’ll provided some good commentaries as to what went on with some of the higher profile matches. Oh, and as of right now my favorites are Charlie Sheen, Glenn Beck, Justin Bieber and Mel Gibson. Charlie Sheen winning (obviously), Let’s see how close I get to those final four as things play out the rest of the month.
