This Sunday is more than just the return of football. It’s a milestone to the biggest tragedy of my lifetime. September 11th, 2011. Ten years. It’s been ten years since terrorists changed the way we live our life. This isn’t a week where I go on some sort of nonsensical rambling. This isn’t a week where I post more pictures than words. This isn’t a week where any of us treat one another with ill will. We’re all American this week. We all take some time to remember.
We remember the ones we lost. We remember the ones who saved. We remember the ones who did this to us.
The one thing I can sit here and be thankful for is that a few short months ago we took a piece of our country back.
Take some time today, take some time before you watch some football to remember.
