Thursdays of Steel: The End of an Era
There a lot of emotions racing through me right now. Ten months ago I started what was my first official blog, Thursday’s of Steel. I’ve been lax with the posts as of late, and this is not the end of it (as it will find revival over at Happy Hour on hhwst.net on 11/24/2011 {oh heyyyyy…. That’s Thanksgiving!}); just a new chapter. Thursdays of Steel will continue to be a weekly feature for Happy Hour and a Stabcast only version will be posted monthly.
Thursday’s of Steel: Rage
I’ve raged about this on twitter (@hhwst) before; however I have yet to collect my thoughts on paper… Well, virtual paper. What is Internet Radio? My definition would be broadcasting online. It’s fair to say most people would.
Because something is on the Internet, does that delegitimize it? Perhaps ten years ago. However, utilizing the Internet as a form of media is not just the future; it’s the present.
Thursdays of Steel: Remember
This Sunday is more than just the return of football. It’s a milestone to the biggest tragedy of my lifetime. September 11th, 2011. Ten years. It’s been ten years since terrorists changed the way we live our life. This isn’t a week where I go on some sort of nonsensical rambling. This isn’t a week where I post more pictures than words. This isn’t a week where any of us treat one another with ill will. We’re all American this week. We all take some time to remember.
Thursdays of Steel: Mug Shots

If that doesn’t grab your attention, I don’t know what will. Matthew Fox recently has been accused of punching a bus driver in the vagina. When I first saw that this was his mugshot; I thought it was fake. Part of me still does, HOWEVER… it got me thinking about all the other celebrity mugshots out there.
Andy Dick has yet again gotten himself into trouble. He maybe on the website, mugshots.com, more than any one celebrity. Oddly enough, in his old age he’s starting to look pretty normal.
Thursdays of Steel: Top Five Beer League Sports
#5. Volleyball
Volleyball is so low on this list as it tends to be everyone’s least favorite sport growing up. Hell, even in adult hood; but as something to play while drinking during the holidays, it’s great. I’m shocked i haven’t really heard of any beer leagues for volleyball as it seems like one of the easier sports to play whilst drinking. With a full team (I seem to remember 9 people; 3 rows of 3), there is very little moving around and the only risks are looking like a fool missing the serve and puking after taking a good hit from a spiked ball.
